While students have the primary responsibility of acting with honesty and integrity during their studies, professors have an equally important role in promoting academic integrity as well as preventing and detecting academic misconduct. They must also be aware of and apply the appropriate policies and procedures when they detect such behaviors.

In an article published in the April 2007 edition of University Affairs, Alex Gillis, a professor at the Ryerson University, presented several interesting findings on the issue of fraud in the academic community.

This section provides professors with resources and tools they can use to promote academic integrity and prevent academic misconduct in their courses.
