Format: Mindfulness and guided meditation. The practice of mindfulness meditation teaches you to pay close attention to your mental states and observe them so as to respond not with reactivity but with wisdom.

Indigenous Cooking Class: Indian Tacos with Chef Beau

With: The Mashkawazìwogamig Indigenous Resource Centre and Chef Beau

When: Tuesday, June 29 - all day

Where: A link to the recording will be made available on the Mashkawazìwogamig Indigenous Resource Centre Facebook page

Description: Indian Tacos are a part of our Pow wow foods that food vendors famously make.Learn to make some with Chef Beau!

Language: Mainly English.

Other information: This will be a recording and will be spread across the Indigenous Resource Centre's social media platforms. There will be a prize for the first person to send the IRC a picture of their finished Indian Taco!

Format:  During this pandemic, many parents are asking themselves questions about the support to give their children as they pursue their studies online. In order to help you help your children, we propose a 60-minute meeting during which you will be able to share your experience with Amal Boutif and discuss leads, strategies and resources to better understand what is expected of them in this new context.

You can also purchase beads locally at Beaded Dreams, Zelkovitz Leathers, or online at iBeads.

Ergo on the go - Ergonomics of remote working (for employees)

Where: This workshop will be presented virtually. An invitation to the registered participants will be sent through TEAMS.

Description: After weeks of telework, we are all starting to have tensions, stiffness and pains here and there. During this workshop, you will learn how to set-up your home workstation to improve your work postures and reduce strains and pains. At the end of this workshop, participants will: 1) Know office ergonomics principles 2) Recognize the challenges caused by working from home 3) Know how to improve their home workstation to follow ergonomic principles.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the pet therapy dog teams are practicing physical and social distancing and have stopped their visits. However, the pet therapy dogs would like to still "visit" you. Join us for a special "virtual" pet therapy session!
