Dedicate a workspace in your home
It is easier to log-off and close the door as opposed to having the laptop in view when you are not working. Remember out of sight, out of mind. Talk to family members or the other people you share your living space with about your work hours and set some ground rules during those hours. Having a scribbled sign "Do Not Disturb!" taped to your door can be helpful! Anything that can interrupt you will interrupt you -- like a delivery during a critical negotiation call or a dog barking in the background during a video chat. Try switching on a white noise machine or other application. This will help reduce noise distractions in your work space.
