Take part in the Movies for Mental Health workshop!

Three heads filled with a garden and an old-time projector.

Join us for a (free) workshop promoting mental health through art with discussions on de-stigmatization and community resources. On January 24th 2018, the University of Ottawa is giving you the opportunity to share your thoughts on mental health and learn from mental health leaders in our community through conversation inspired by short films.

The workshop is two hours long and includes interactive discussion, viewing and responding to several short films, and a panel of speakers representing mental health resources. As the "sequel" to our Mental Health Short Film Contest organized throughout the fall, it will feature submissions from our community as well as Art With Impact’s curated collection.

This event is organized in collaboration with Art With Impact, a nonprofit organization that uses the power of film to reduce stigma around mental illness and raise awareness about mental health issues. Headquartered in San Francisco, they have run over 130 successful workshops at high schools and colleges throughout North America over the past four years.

Note: the event will include a light meal and refreshments.

Space is limited, so reserve your ticket soon for the main campus (Alex Trebek Hall) sessions or the Roger Guindon session!
