Comparative study of population trends: fertility, mortality, migrations and population health applied to the field of the international development. Contemporary theories on the population trends and application in the international context.

Critical introduction to the topic of women and development, both as a field of theoretical study and as an area of supranational, governmental and non-governmental interventions. Analysis of key development paradigms and their potential impact on the needs and concerns of women situated in the "south" in terms of their education, environment, health, production, and reproduction. Case studies analyzed in the context of globalization.
