Law (Droit Civil)

At the undergraduate level the Droit civil Section of the Faculty offers a certificate program and the licentiate in civil law.

The certificate program introduces the nature and role of rules that dictate human activities at the private and public levels. However, this is not a professional program like the licentiate.

The licentiate in law is recognized by the Barreau et la Chambre des notaries du Qubec, and offers training in national and international private and public law as well as theory and practical applications. The program not only covers the current state of civil law, but also the historical, social, economic and political aspects.

The national program (LLB-LL.L.) is available to persons completing or having completed a common law degree in a Canadian university. Students can obtain a licentiate in law with one additional year of study creating opportunities in the national and international scene.
