Communication

Ours is the information age. Analyzing how information is gathered, produced and distributed today helps you understand the communication processes - both human and technological - that drive a variety of settings: social, cultural, political, economic and legal. In this program, you also evaluate the nature and impact of emerging media, such as the internet, arguably the most powerful communication tool of our times.

The Department of Communication offers courses in two main areas: Traditional and New Media (press, video production, multimedia, Internet, etc.) and Organizational Communication (communication in public and private organizations, health communication, public relations, interpersonal communication, etc.). Combining theory and practice, our programs develop your critical and analytical skills and prepare you either for a professional career or for advanced studies.
