Note(s)
1This course has variable topics. Students may take this course twice.
2Students failing an applied music course (MUS1030, MUS1032, MUS2030, MUS2032, MUS3030, MUS3032) will be asked by the School of Music to withdraw from the BMus.
3A written test at the beginning of courses MUS1191, MUS1192, MUS1193, MUS1194 and MUS2306 will determine placement in an additional weekly lab.
4Students may repeat the same course code more than once.
5An exemption from this requirement is given to students who obtain an equivalency for the language-proficiency test or who take a MUS course offered in French.

All non-keyboard majors must submit to a proficiency exam set by the School of Music at the end of the 2nd year. This exam must be completed successfully by the end of the 4th year to obtain the BMus degree.

Courses are selected through tutorial consultation. The School of Music determines the order in which some courses must be taken and can impose any courses deemed necessary for the musical development of the student; these courses may be chosen in departments other than the School of Music.
