NOTE: Students who did not choose GEO1111 and GEO1115 in their first-year can be accepted in second-year geology and take these courses concurrently with second-year courses, provided they have a CGPA of at least 4.5. Students interested in this option should consult the Department of Earth Science. Access to 4000-level geology courses is limited to students having completed all their requirements and all compulsory 2000- and 3000-level geology courses.
Note(s)
1The sessions in which the course are offered may change.
2This course runs from September to April.
3The Departments of Earth Sciences at both University of Ottawa and Carleton university offer a joint program of fourth-year level courses. With the permission of the home department and university, students can enroll in fourth-year courses offered at the other university. It is possible to choose a course that has no equivalent, provided that it is a fourth-year geology course (GEO4*** at the University of Ottawa and GEOL4*** at Carleton University).
