Period of assistantship and practical studies with a professional (artist, researcher, curator, records manager, administrator, etc.) who must provide the Department with a description of both the work program and the evaluation process for approval. The practicum director and the student must present a final report to the Department. Duration of apprenticeship: 150 hours. Grade: Satisfactory / Not satisfactory.

Self-directed painting practice under the guidance of a painting professor; its contextualization in contemporary art and the study of issues and theories that inform contemporary painting, and its relationship to other contemporary practices.

Advanced workshop focusing on sculptural and new media practices and the interface between them; sculpture and media in relationship to installation art, performance, video, sound, kinetics, electronics, etc.
