Economics and Public Policy

Economics is concerned with the analysis of how a nation's resources are used to meet the needs and desires of its citizens. Economists are interested in the production, distribution and consumption of goods and services. This interdisciplinary program, which has a strong economics component, focuses on economic issues related to public policy and the public sector (such as municipalities, regions, provinces and nations) as well as broader policy issues, for example with respect to labour, health and the environment.
