Anthropology

Anthropology is a science, which focuses on human beings. Basically it is the study of diverse societies from a holistic and comparative perspective. Our programs, which specialize in the sub-discipline of social and cultural anthropology, will provide the necessary tools to critically analyse and understand diverse cultures and societies of the contemporary world. Our programs give students a better understanding of cultural changes and intercultural relations in the context of phenomena such as globalization, migratiintercultural relations in the context of phenomena such as globalization, migration, multiculturalism, and the technological revolutions. With their focus on locally appropriate solutions, anthropologists provide important input for the resolution of social, political, economic, and environmental problems. Anthropology is perhaps most recognized for its ethnographic approach and the use of participant observation, which requires long-term, detailed fieldwork among the people in the study.
