International Studies and Modern Languages

In this program, you acquire the skills and knowledge required to work at the
international level and in international organizations. You gain an understanding of
world affairs and current challenges, as well as insight into the relationships among
the world's cultures. The program also prepares you to work in Canada's two official
languages and in a third language.

At the same time, students learn about the world, international realities and relations between cultures. This program trains students in both of Canada's official languages and in at least one other modern language. The degree also helps develop such skills as critical analysis, synthesis and application of work methods in more than one discipline.
