Sociology

Sociology studies how societies work, how they're structured and how they have evolved over centuries. It also studies the distinguishing features of the myriad cultures that have formed societies throughout history. Sociologists have a special interest in social change, and they examine society from all points of view in an attempt to understand that change.

In their sociology courses, research and readings, students focus on ethnic relations, deviance and social problems, the role of women in society, international development, political sociology and the role of technology in societies.
