Computer Science

Computer science at the School of Information Technology and Engineering (SITE) combines the fundamental study of computation and information processing, and how it applies to the world around us. Computer scientists build fast, reliable and secure software systems to organize, store and analyze information. The honours curriculum comprises advanced topics in databases, artificial intelligence, computer graphics, security, distributed computing, algorithm design, and culminates with the honours project. This program equips graduates with the ability to conceive, design, and implement software systems, using creative and novel solutions when necessary. Our degree programs are flexible and include options, minors and a major that allow the student to explore the links between computer science and many other fields.
