As an intern for the NGO Federation of Nepal, I had the opportunity to be part of the World Social Forum 2024 organizing committee and attend this event. The World Social Forum is a global event that unites activists from all over the world. It is a platform for the convergence of ideas on pressing matters such as climate justice, feminism, human rights, and others. Attending this event opened my eyes to different perspectives on current issues and made me aware of other issues I wasn’t aware of.  It also gave me a new perspective on issues I was already familiar with. Throughout the World Social Forum 2024 and it’s planning process, I met many wonderful people. I believe that this internship in Nepal has been an experience unlike any other. Not only did it allow me to gain amazing work experience and meet people who are dedicated to their careers, but it also taught me valuable life lessons and helped me discover myself.
