1. For bachelor’s programs (90 and 120 credits):

The following grandfather clause applies to students admitted to a bachelor’s program for September 2015 or earlier: Students admitted to a bachelor’s program for September 2015 or earlier must achieve a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 3.5 to graduate. Those admitted after September 2015 must achieve a CGPA of 4.0 to graduate.

2. For honours bachelor’s programs:

Before September 2016, students had to achieve a diploma grade point average (DGPA) of 5.0 to graduate, except for students in the Faculty of Engineering who had to maintain a DGPA of at least 4.5.

Given that there will no longer be a DGPA as of September 2016, students admitted to an honours bachelor’s program for September 2015 or earlier must achieve a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 5.0 to graduate.

The following grandfather clause applies to students admitted to the Faculty of Engineering for September 2015 or earlier: For students admitted to the Faculty of Engineering for September 2015 or earlier the cumulative grade point average (CGPA) required to graduate is 4.5. For students admitted after September 2015, the CGPA required to graduate is 5.0.

3. There is no grandfather clause in the case of withdrawal with a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) below 3.0. This means that as of the end of the Fall 2016 session, students who achieve a CGPA below 3.0 will be withdrawn.
