Biography

Dr. Marcos Loreto Sampaio is an assistant professor in the Department of Radiology at the University of Ottawa.

He has also been a part of the MSK radiology team at The Ottawa Hospital (TOH) since 2009 and practices both MSK diagnostic imaging and procedures.

He is the former MSK radiology fellowship director, MSK residency supervisor, X-ray modality lead of the department and Radiation Protection Officer. Currently, he is the Section Head in Musculoskeletal Imaging and lead in MSK ultrasound as well as the lead of the Digital Office of the Department of Radiology.

Dr. Sampaio has authored and co-authored articles and book chapters on MSK imaging and is a manuscript reviewer for Radiology and Skeletal Radiology  journals. He has also won the best teacher award by undergraduate students, radiology residents, and MSK radiology fellows in the past.
