Biography
Dr. Kawan Rakhra is an associate professor in the Department of Radiology, Radiation Oncology and Medical Physics and a musculoskeletal radiologist in the Department of Medical Imaging at The Ottawa Hospital. He has a cross-appointment to the Department of Surgery, Division of Orthopaedic Surgery.
Dr. Rakhra has won many awards for research and education in our department. He has received multiple peer-reviewed research grants and published almost 100 manuscripts in the imaging literature. He has presented his research at national and international conferences and was nominated for the Clinician Recognition Award in 2024 for his excellence in clinical service and patient care at The Ottawa Hospital.
