Biography
Dr. Schieda is an abdominal radiologist at The Ottawa Hospital and a Full Professor in Radiology and Surgery (Division of Urology) at The University of Ottawa. He is the Director of Abdominal and Pelvic MRI and Prostate Imaging at The Ottawa Hospital. Dr. Schieda’s research has been funded both nationally and internationally and, he has over 250 peer-reviewed publications in leading Imaging and Urology journals.
Dr. Schieda is the Section Editor for Genitourinary Imaging for the American Journal of Roentgenology and an Associate Scientific Editor in MRI for European Radiology and the Journal of Magnetic Resonance Imaging. He is a member of the scientific subcommittees for Genitourinary imaging at the Radiological Society of North America, American Roentgen Ray Society and Society of Abdominal Radiology. He is a panel member of the American College of Radiology Appropriateness Criteria for Urological Imaging, a member of the Society of Abdominal Radiology Disease Focused Panels on Renal Cell Carcinoma and Adrenal Neoplasms and is the Chair of the American College of Radiology Genitourinary Continuing Professional Improvement program.
