Biography
Dr. Dennie is a full professor and the Chair of Radiology, Radiation Oncology and Medical Physics as well as the Head of the Department of Medical Imaging at The Ottawa Hospital. Her prior clinical leadership roles include, Section Head, Thoracic Imaging and Cardiac Imaging at The Ottawa Hospital and co-director of Cardiac Radiology at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute. She is the current Radiology Quality Lead for the Ontario Lung Screening Program at Ontario Health.
She is passionate about education and has held multiple leadership roles in education in the Department including Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program Director, Cardiac Radiology Fellowship Director and Director of Continuing Medical Education. She has also served as Chair of the Diagnostic Radiology Examination Committee of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons for Canada.
Dr. Dennie has also been extremely active in national and international radiology societies and has held multiple leadership roles within these societies including the Radiological Society of North America. She is a member of the Fleischner Society.
She is the founding president of the Canadian Association of Thoracic Radiologists, the past president of the North American Society for Cardiovascular Imaging and incoming president of the Society of Thoracic Radiology in 2028.
She has published over 150 manuscripts and guidelines in peer-reviewed journals.
