Biography

Bruce Montador was the Executive Director representing Canada at the African Development Bank from September 2007 to September 2011. Previously , Bruce was the Vice-President for Multilateral Programs of the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) and also served as Director General, International Trade and Finance at Finance Canada. In that position, he was responsible for several aspects of Canada's international economic and financial relations. Previously, Bruce was Chief of the Financial Markets Department of the Bank of Canada and held a variety of positions at the OECD, the Bank of Canada, the University of Victoria and the federal Treasury Board Secretariat. Bruce studied mathematics and economics at the University of British Columbia, the Université de Montréal and Queen's University. He holds a Ph.D in mathematics and took economics at the doctoral level.
