Biography

Scott Stevenson is Senior Fellow through the Canada School of Public Service’s Public Servant in Residence Program. From 2013 to 2015, he was Senior Assistant Deputy Minister – Regional Operations Sector at Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada. Prior to this, he served at the Department of National Defence from 2001 to 2013.  He was Assistant Deputy Minister - Infrastructure and Environment from 2007, Director General Policy Coordination from 2005, and Director Cabinet Liaison from 2001. He joined the Department of Finance Canada in 1999 as an Economist in the Economic Development and Corporate Finance Branch. Prior to joining the Public Service, he was an officer in the Canadian Armed Forces.  He has a Masters of Public Administration from Queen's University and a BA in Military and Strategic Studies from Royal Roads Military College.
