Training session for Jurivision

Our team gives workshops on request adapted to your needs on immersive technologies (such as virtual and augmented reality headsets, the immersive cylinder, the lightboard and holograms) in educational settings.

Science, engineering, technology and mathematics (STEM)

In collaboration with the Faculty of Engineering and its instructors who give Maker Mobile workshops, we offer STEM workshops (coding, virtual reality, robotics, cybersecurity, etc.) to school boards.

In collaboration with Jurivision, the Library and the Teaching and Learning Support Service teams at uOttawa, we offer you integrated support in designing and developing digital resources: immersive content, audiovisual products, podcasts and much more. From ideation to dissemination, these teams combine technological, pedagogical and documentary expertise to offer you strategic advice and ensure your projects are high quality, relevant and well promoted.

Jurivision

Jurivision’s multimedia production team has joined with INNOVA to further its mission of teaching innovation, digital knowledge production and immersive technology promotion. This collaboration will provide the University community and its partners with organized offerings of production, support and dissemination services adapted to INNOVA’s technological facilities (immersive cylinder, holography, etc.).

Thanks to its recognized expertise and its residence at INNOVA, Jurivision can help maximize use of immersive technologies, facilitate access to specialized professional services and develop pilot projects that encourage broader partnerships and attract external funding. Please note that Jurivision services are targeted based on current resources and commitments, with each project assessed individually. Services can include:

  • production and adaptation of audiovisual content
  • technical and creative support
  • grant application (SSHRC, CFI, etc.) creation support
  • multimodal pedagogical design (immersive scenarios, storyboards, integration with educational technologies)

Library

Whether it’s for your first or your umpteenth production, you can receive adapted support to develop your podcasting skills working with the uOttawa Library.

Located in the same building as INNOVA, the Library’s two podcasting studios feature professional equipment to let you record high-quality audio and video with their state of the art microphones, mixing boards, soundproofing, lighting and cameras.

Teaching and Learning Support Service (TLSS)

The TLSS educational and digital development teams boost INNOVA’s support, including in educational design, digital resource design and multimedia integration in hybrid or immersive teaching projects, depending on the teams’ availability.
