On September 25, join us in celebrating Franco-Ontarian Day at uOttawa!

Students, staff members, professors, alumni, partners and community members are invited to gather for a celebration of Franco-Ontarian culture.
This friendly event will be an opportunity for members of our community to celebrate the role that the French language plays at the University of Ottawa and to recognize all those who help the Francophonie blossom on our campus and well beyond.
This year, we will also have the pleasure of hosting Michèle Vinet, a Franco-Ontarian author and uOttawa alumna in Lettres françaises and education.
Michèle Vinet, who is a leading figure in Franco-Ontarian literature with several prestigious literary awards to her name, including the Trillium Book Award, the Prix Émile-Ollivier and the Prix littéraire Le Droit, will read a short poem at this event.

Every year on September 25, the University of Ottawa marks Franco-Ontarian Day to celebrate the history, culture and contributions of Ontario’s Francophone community.
