National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

Event details

Staff, faculty and learners from TOH, CHEO and uOttawa are invited to hear from Elders, Indigenous clinical leaders, and others as we continue reconciliation in health care through relationship building, respect, and collaboration.

12 p.m. | Healthy Conversations panel: Relationships in reconciliation and clinical care

This session will explore how meaningful collaboration with Indigenous healers and Elders can strengthen patient care, in consideration of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s calls to action.

1 p.m. | Indigenous beading workshop

Featuring vendors starting at 11:30 a.m.: Octopus Books, Artist Annie Pillaktuaq, Artist Christine Brousseau, Quality Quills, and more.

Bring your lunch! Light refreshments will be available.
