Biography

Hazel is a third-year Political Science student in the Faculty of Social Sciences and brings copious amounts of experience in engagement within student initiatives and public-sector experience to the Board of Governors. She has previously served as the Lead Clerk for the University of Ottawa Students’ Union gaining governance and policy knowledge. She has also held executive roles in several student organizations dedicated to equity, community outreach, and supporting the future of students. Beyond the university, Hazel has interned on the Hill and worked on provincial and federal campaigns, with her strength lying in community building and policy work. Through this she knows how to bring communities together through effective means of change.

Hazel leads with a commitment to inclusive decision-making and is ready to amplify student voices in University governance.
