MESSAGE FROM THE DEAN

The three schools in the Faculty of Health Sciences, Human Kinetics, Nursing and Rehabilitation Sciences provide nationally accredited programs for the development of professionals in disciplines very much in demand in health sciences. The Baccalaureate in Health Sciences Program prepares the students for the professional programs offered at the masters (e.g. physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech language pathology, audiology, etc), medicine and graduate levels.

The School of Human Kinetics trains specialists in physical activity and leisure in a context of health promotion.

The School of Nursing works closely with clinical partners to ensure that its graduates are prepared for the complex and challenging roles nurses undertake within the reformed health system.

The School of Rehabilitation Sciences prepares professionals in four disciplines: physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech language pathology and audiology. These disciplines are central to the provision of rehabilitation services.
