Throughout her degree, Kylie Rivest (Honours Bachelor of Health Sciences) has volunteered with Perley Health as a dementia companion and held key leadership roles in various student clubs and associations. In particular, she served as president of the Health Sciences Student Association during her final year, as well as vice president of internal affairs for the University of Ottawa Multiple Sclerosis Club.
In addition to her volunteer work, Kylie has also devoted herself to research. She was involved in the Clinical Exercise Physiology Lab, where she completed her honours thesis and worked as a clinical research coordinator. After her graduation, she will be continuing her research there as she pursues a Master’s degree in Health Sciences with a specialization in Integrative Health Biosciences.
Jessica Rosenbloom (Honours Bachelor of Science in Nursing) is recognized for her academic excellence, leadership, and commitment to advancing cancer care. Through her work at The Hospital for Sick Children in a leading pediatric brain cancer laboratory, she contributed to innovative childhood cancer research and received a cell biology research award for her contributions.
As a keynote speaker and panelist at conferences hosted by the Ontario Institute for Cancer Research and International Society for Biological and Environmental Repositories, she has demonstrated strong engagement within the medical and scientific community and a commitment to advancing dialogue within the field. Beyond academia, she has also been a dedicated advocate within the pediatric cancer community, working to raise awareness and amplify patient and family voices.
