Prime Minister Mark Carney has announced that former Supreme Court justice Louise Arbour – a University of Ottawa law graduate – will be Canada’s next governor general.

Professor Larocque’s research focuses on Canadian legal history, language rights, human rights and international law. He was worked as a paralegal with Judge Arbour and co-led the publication of ‘Doing Peace the Rights Way: Essays in Honour of Louise Arbour.
