    • Professor Jackie Dawson, Canada Research Chair in the Human and Policy Dimensions of Environmental Change, will discuss how interdisciplinary research is essential to understanding and responding to climate change-driven transformations across the Arctic. Bringing together humanities, social sciences, natural science, policy analysis, and Indigenous knowledge, her research examines how shrinking sea ice, evolving shipping routes, and climate‑driven risks are reshaping northern communities and Arctic governance. Her talk will illustrate how interdisciplinary, community‑engaged research can inform safer, more sustainable, and culturally grounded decision‑making in this rapidly changing region.
