Biography

Professor Eric Lanteigne received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Ottawa in 2003 and 2006 respectively, and his PhD from the Royal Military College of Canada in 2011. He then joined the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Ottawa.

His fields of interests are mechanisms design, uninhabited aerial vehicles, path planning and control. Professor Lanteigne has worked on a number of industrial design projects including mobile robots for the agricultural industry, energy harvesting for the transportation sector, outdoor exercise equipment, and uninhabited aircraft structures. He is currently involved in several projects involving lighter-than-air uninhabited aircraft systems and multibody aerial vehicles. Professor Lanteigne currently teaches the capstone project course for mechanical engineering.
