Civil engineering student Danielle Rainville is determined to protect Ottawa from natural disasters by developing models to predict the likelihood of floods in the region.

Mamadou Fall, professor and chair of the Department of Civil Engineering, has been elected a fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering (CAE). This distinction recognizes his leadership in geotechnical and geoenvironmental engineering, as well as his contributions to sustainable and reliable infrastructure.
