Congratulations to Angel Foster, Full Professor in the Interdisciplinary School of Health Sciences on being selected as the Medical Women of Canada (FMWC)’s Honorary Member for 2019-2020.

Congratulations to the following researchers (PIs) on their success:

Dr Dawn Stacey, a full professor in the School of Nursing, has enabled sustained and outstanding contributions, focused on helping patients and healthcare professionals use the best available evidence to inform quality healthcare decisions.

Dr. Glen Kenny of the Faculty of Health Sciences, School of Human Kinetics and Director of the Human and Environmental Physiology Research Unit (HEPRU) at the University of Ottawa is the recipient of the Research Chair in Heat Strain Monitoring and Management, generously sponsored by SmartCone Technologies Inc.

Professors from the School of Rehabilitation Sciences and the School of Human Kinetics received research grants from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC).

Patrick was recently featured in the Ottawa Citizen where he describes his efforts to bring this project to life.

Dave Holmes, Full Professor in the School of Nursing received the first University Chair in Forensic Nursing in 2009.

The overall goal of the research program of Ryan Graham, Associate Professor in the School of Human Kinetics, is to merge biomechanics and data science to optimize human health and performance in clinical, workplace, sport and daily living settings.

The Knowledge Mobilization Excellence Award (KMbE Award) is designed to recognize researchers who have conducted a successful and innovative project in promoting and facilitating the use of research outside academia.

Following our previous article where the patient decision support tools recently developed by Professor Stacey were presented, these were very helpful for patients and families in making decisions.
