Maxime Raymond-Dufour is Associate Dean, Research at the Faculty of Law of the University of Ottawa. A historian by training, he holds a PhD in history from the Université de Montréal and a doctorate from Paris Sorbonne, and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at McGill University. His work focuses on the history of time, nineteenth century Canada, and historiography.
After working for the Library of Parliament and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada, he joined the Faculty of Law as a specialist in university research funding. He now serves as manager of the Research Office, where he oversees services related to research grant support, academic nominations, and research communications.
His background combines academic expertise with an in depth understanding of research funding ecosystems, enabling him to strategically support the development of research within the Faculty.
