Nelson Arturo OVALLE DIAZ is a veteran human rights activist and former ombudsman surviving Colombia's internal armed conflict. He is a doctor and professor of law at the University of Ottawa. Professor OVALLE DIAZ has been lecturing at universities in the Canadian capital since 2010, and has over 30 years' experience in the promotion, protection and active defense of social justice, as well as effective respect for the rights and freedoms of people in need of legal information. He remains convinced that he can make a significant contribution to the just and equitable causes of individuals, groups, communities and communities.
Professor OVALLE DIAZ's study interests include legal theory, legal anthropology and sociology, comparative law, international affairs, international law, constitutional law, transitional justice, social economics, social justice, labor law, artificial intelligence, human rights, public policy with emphasis on criminal policy, alternative conflict resolution mechanisms and international cooperation. Professor OVALLE DIAZ is also an expert in the creation and operation ofnational and transnational legal entities (NGOs, think tanks, corporations, social enterprises, cooperatives, trade unions,social organizations, non-profit and charitable organizations, etc.).
