Biography

Andrew Vey was called to the Ontario Bar in 2013. He holds a B.A. (Honours) from Carleton University and a J.D. from the University of Toronto. From the start of his legal career, Andrew has focused exclusively on workplace law. He previously worked with two Toronto-based labour and employment law boutiques before returning to Ottawa to start his own firm. 

Andrew frequently appears as a speaker at HR industry events, such as Lancaster House’s Ottawa Labour Law Conference, and has been quoted in publications such as Canadian HR Reporter and Global News. He acted as a legal editor for First Reference’s Human Resources Policy-Pro (Ontario Edition) from 2019 to 2024. Outside of the office, Andrew serves as a Board Member with Ronald McDonald House Charities Ottawa and is a former Board Member (2015-2023) and President (2018-2020) of the Causeway Work Centre. Since 2024, Andrew has taught employment law at both Algonquin College and the University of Ottawa (Faculty of Law).
