Marc Tremblay is a Franco-Ontarian lawyer/jurist who specializes in constitutional and language rights, as well as the rights of Indigenous peoples.

Prior to retiring from the federal public service in April 2024, Marc had assumed progressively more senior roles in legal services and policy development within the Government of Canada during a career that spanned more than 25 years. Marc successfully led significant public policy, high-risk and complex programs, projects, legislative and litigation files that have Government-wide implications and affect transformational societal changes. He provided advice to foreign, provincial, and territorial governments to assist in managing their own linguistic and cultural diversity. Marc frequently appeared as an expert in language law and policy before Parliamentary committees and at national and international conferences. He published numerous articles and book chapters in his field of expertise and has lectured at several Law Faculties in Canada and abroad. He is a skilled manager of people, projects, and financial resources. Aside from his continued involvement in the Franco-Ontario legal community and at the Law Faculty, Marc is an avid cross-country skier and fitness fanatic.
