Professor Geneviève Dufour moderates discussion with Canada’s Minister of Energy and Natural Resources

Professor Geneviève Dufour recently took part in a high-profile public policy event hosted by the Conseil des relations internationales de Montréal (CORIM), where she interviewed the Honourable Tim Hodgson, Canada’s Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, during a luncheon discussion held on June 8, 2026.

The event brought together leaders from government, business, academia, and civil society to discuss some of the most pressing issues facing Canada’s energy and natural resources sectors. During the conversation, Minister Hodgson addressed the economic, geopolitical, and environmental challenges shaping Canada’s energy future, while also reflecting on the role of natural resources in an increasingly complex international landscape.

Professor Dufour’s invitation to lead the discussion reflects her recognized expertise in international economic law, international trade, and global governance.
