I am a UK-trained colorectal surgeon with specialist training in complex colorectal oncology, advanced rectal cancer and IBD Surgery. My training and fellowships have taken me through some leading institutions in the UK and North America, with a strong foundation in both clinical excellence and interest in systems leadership.
After completing my specialty training in Colorectal and Emergency General Surgery through the School of Surgery, Health Education England (Yorkshire & the Humber), I pursued focused fellowships in high-volume tertiary centres, including:
- The Christie NHS Foundation Trust – Fellowship in Colorectal & Peritoneal Oncology (2023)
- Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust – Fellowship in Advanced & Recurrent Rectal Cancer (2024)
- University of Toronto – Fellowship in Colorectal Surgery (2024–2025)
In parallel with my surgical training, I was successful in achieving a role as a Fellow to the Future Leaders Programme (2020), a prestigious fellowship with Health Education England designed to develop clinical leaders driving improvement across health systems.
I am passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centred care and advancing multidisciplinary management in complex colorectal disease.
In Fall 2025, I joined The Ottawa Colorectal Group at The Ottawa Hospital as a Colorectal Surgeon, contributing to both clinical care and ongoing innovation in colorectal surgery.
