Dr. Ann Bugeja completed her Bachelor of Science and medical degrees at the University of Toronto. She completed her postgraduate training in internal medicine and nephrology at the University of Toronto and her Masters degree in Epidemiology at the University of Ottawa. She is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Ottawa. She is a certified specialist in Clinical Hypertension with the American Society of Hypertension and works in the Hypertension Clinic at the Riverside Campus of The Ottawa Hospital. She is the medical lead for the Living Kidney Donation Program at The Ottawa Hospital. Her main research areas are the optimization of the living kidney donor evaluation and hypertension management and outcomes in understudied populations. Dr. Bugeja mentors and supports trainees in her clinical research activities.
