Biography

Dr. Augusto Goncalves Filho is an assistant professor in the Department of Radiology, Radiation Oncology and Medical Physics and a diagnostic neuroradiologist in the Department of Medical Imaging at The Ottawa Hospital.  He has been on staff since 2024. Dr. Filho also obtained  a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from Harvard University in Boston, Massachusetts.

Dr. Filho is engaged in teaching at all levels with the Diagnostic Neuroradiology Section.  He is also productive researcher.  He has given multiple invited presentations at national and international conferences and is an engaged member of multiple committees in international societies including the ASNR Diversity and Inclusion Committee, the RadioGraphics Trainee Editorial Advisory Members’ Board and the RadioGraphics Subspecialty Review Panel. He is an Assistant Editor for the journal RadioGraphics and a manuscript reviewer for RadioGraphics and PLOS ONE.
