Biography

Dr. Elizabeth Henderson is a clinical medical physicist, working in the Radiation Medicine Program of The Ottawa Hospital. She holds certification in radiation oncology physics from the Canadian College of Physicists in Medicine. Dr. Henderson’s current clinical/academic interests include external beam treatment planning and adaptive radiation therapy. She teaches a course on ethics and professionalism to radiation oncology physics residents. Dr. Henderson completed her PhD in medical biophysics at The University of Western Ontario (London, Ontario) in 2000. The focus of her doctoral research was the use of MRI and CT contrast agents to measure perfusion, blood volume and capillary permeability in cancer.
