Biography
Dr. Francesca de la Cruz is a Pediatric Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist who joined the Department of Pediatrics as an Assistant Professor in 2025. She comple ed her medical degree and pediatric training in Manila, Philippines, at the University of Santo Tomas and The Medical City. Dr. de la Cruz pursued subspecialty training in Pediatric Cardiology at the University of British Columbia, followed by Adult Electrophysiology at the University of Western Ontario, and advanced training in Pediatric & Congenital Interventional Electrophysiology at the University of Alberta.
Her clinical and academic interests include cardiac arrhythmias, interventional electrophysiology, inherited arrhythmia syndromes, and sudden cardiac death across pediatric, adult, and adult congenital populations. Dr. de la Cruz is dedicated to advancing cardiac care through research, education, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
