Biography
Dr. Brun-Vergara is an assistant professor in the Department of Radiology, Radiation Oncology and Medical Physics and a diagnostic neuroradiologist in the Department of Medical Imaging at The Ottawa Hospital. She joined the department in 2024.
Dr. Brun-Vergara currently serves as an Assistant Editor on the Editorial Board of RadioGraphics and is an active member of several national and international radiology societies, as well as a reviewer for multiple recognized national and international radiology journals. She is passionate about clinical education, global radiology, and advancing leadership in the field. She won Fellow Teacher of the Year in the Diagnostic Neuroradiology Section in 2024 and has won multiple other awards from international societies for educational posters and manuscript reviewer activities.
Dr. Brun-Vergara is also a strong advocate for improving communication skills in radiology, recognizing their vital role in enhancing patient care and interdisciplinary collaboration.
