Biography
Dr. Narinder Singh is a Staff Anesthesiologist at The Ottawa Hospital and Clinical Faculty at the University of Ottawa. With over fifteen years of experience in anesthesiology education, clinical practice, and academic mentorship, his subspecialty expertise spans obstetric anesthesia, regional anesthesia, and chronic pain management.
His academic and clinical efforts focus on perioperative safety, optimized analgesia, and the integration of problem-based learning (PBL) in anesthesia education and patient care workflows.
As a Principal Investigator at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute, Dr. Singh leads several projects improving perioperative and maternal care outcomes. His research centers on patient-centered outcomes, perioperative optimization, and chronic pain management, particularly within obstetric and regional anesthesia domains.
He has authored over 50 peer-reviewed publications in high-impact journals, including British Journal of Anaesthesia, Anaesthesia, Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine, and European Journal of Anaesthesiology. He actively contributes to the field as a peer reviewer, editorial board member, and international speaker and workshop organizer.
