Biography

Dr. Hyder Al-Attar is an assistant professor at the Department of Medical Imaging at the University of Ottawa. He works as a breast radiologist at the Breast Health Centre (BHC), where he is a member of multidisciplinary team actively involved in diagnosis and management of breast cancer patients. Dr. Al-Attar performs image guided breast procedures including but not limited to biopsied, abscess drainages, and radioactive seed localization (RSL) prior to breast surgery. Prior to moving to Ottawa, Dr. Al-Attar worked at the Cross Cancer Institute (CCI) in Edmonton, and was the Chief radiologist for Alberta Screen Test program.
