Biography

Dr Marc Gaudet is originally from Moncton New Brunswick.   Dr Gaudet completed medical school and residency training at l'Université Laval in Quebec City.  During his residency he completed a Masters in Clinical Epidemiology from l'Université Laval and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada’s Clinician Investigator Program.  He then completed his clinical research fellowship in GU/Gyn at BCCA Vancouver as well as a Masters in Health Administration from the University of British Columbia.  He served as a staff radiation oncologist, head of radiation oncology and director of oncology research at the Gatineau Hospital from 2013 to 2016 and then moved on to a position at The Ottawa Hospital in June 2016 where he specializes in  GYN, GU,  Head and Neck and palliative radiotherapy.  He is currently an Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology at the University of Ottawa and a Senior Clinician Investigator with the Clinical Epidemiology Program of the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute.  He has been head of the Division of Radiation Oncology since September 2021.  He also serves as past president of the Canadian Brachytherapy Group and and Medical Examiner of complaints for the CISSS de l’Outaouais.  His current research Interests include inequalities in access to cancer care, cost-effectiveness of cancer care and brachytherapy.
