Dr. Pierre-Yves McLaughlin grew up in Dieppe, New Brunswick. Following medical school at Université de Sherbrooke (Moncton, NB Campus) and residency at Queen's University, he completed a brachytherapy fellowship at the Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women's Cancer Center in the USA. Before joining the Division of Radiation Oncology in 2024, he practiced at the CISSS de l'Outaouais (Gatineau, QC) where he held roles of Head of Radiation Oncology, Brachytherapy Medical Lead and Interim Medical Lead of the Cancer Program for the Outaouais region. His clinical practice focuses on breast cancer and genitourinary cancers, including prostate brachytherapy.
