Get ready for CIHR Fall 2026! The Faculty of Medicine Writing Lab is back, offering focused, collaborative sessions to help you sharpen your grant-writing skills. Sessions will be held bi-monthly from June to September to support the drafting, refinement, and polishing of your applications.

A half-day writing retreat for researchers

 🧭Purpose

  • The Faculty of Medicine's Research Office is excited to host a half-day retreat designed for researchers who want dedicated time to focus on writing while connecting with colleagues in a supportive, collaborative environment.
  • Whether you are drafting grant applications, manuscripts, or other research materials, this session is designed to help you make meaningful progress in a structured setting.

🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Location and Setup

  • The Writing Lab will take place in Roger Guindon Hall, Room 2034. 
  • Researchers will be set up with a large table and ample space to work comfortably. 
  • Attendees are encouraged to bring a laptop, mouse, and any materials needed for their writing projects. The room will remain quiet during the writing period; you are welcome to bring headphones if you prefer to listen to music while working.
  • Coffee will be provided.
